IGT DIGITAL CAMERA - EXAMPLES OF PHOTO RULES

International Gamefish Tournaments requires the use of team supplied digital cameras in all of our Events that have points awarded for released billfish. We do this to document and record catches and releases. We also require cameras in all of our Release Divisions that are included along with our big fish Tournament formats.

In our recent Puerto Los Cabos Billfish Classic, we had the best photographic documentation of catches and releases than in any prior IGT Event. Every team’s photos were good, some were excellent and some were outstanding. The following slide show presents some of these photos which best demonstrates our photo policy. These are the quality of photos that teams need to capture to insure they earn the points for their releases.

The sequence we require is first the legal release, then the billfish and then the object given by Tournament Control over the radio to separate the documentation of each billfish released.
