SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Dual Start Locations: Tournament boats will be allowed to start from either the Cabo Marina or the Puerto Los Cabo Marina for each of the three days of fishing. Radio channels will be given out at the mandatory captains meeting for each starting location.
All Listed events will be held on the Island (Isla Harvey) which is located in the center of Puerto Los Cabos Marina.
Saturday, October 10
Puerto Los Cabos World Cup kick-off party, $4,000.00 in CASH GAMES, team registration, mandatory Captains Meeting followed by a VIP and Angler cocktail mixer with Private VIP/Angler Welcoming party.
12:00 PM - VIP/Angler hospitality check-in and registration will begin at 12:00 PM
12:15 PM – PLCWC Angler/Celebrity CASH GAMES begin. Only our team anglers can win the cash prize events. The celebrities and the Golf Pros play for fun. Each registered team can send its best team member to compete in the four separate events. It doesn’t have to be the same angler. You can mix it up if you choose. Entry into these events is included in the team’s base entry fee.
EACH EVENT PAYS $1,000 TO THE WINNING ANGLERS.
- IGT casting contest from top of casting platforms. Winner based on points for accuracy of three casts.
- Pompanette Simulated “Fight the Fish” contest from a fighting chair. Winner based on best time to retrieve the simulated fish.
- TaylorMade sponsored golf chipping contest. Winner based on best score from three balls.
- IGT sponsored Knot Tying Contest. Winner based on best knot breaking strength.
5:15 PM - The mandatory Team Captain/Team meeting will start at 5:15 PM.
Sunday, October 11
Day One of the IGT Puerto Los Cabos World Cup Tournament
6:00 AM - Boats may depart the marina/harbor at each day if they intent to make bait. (Refer to the Dual Start Location rules above as well) All teams must be behind the Tournaments Committee Boat(s) before 7:40 AM. No exceptions.
7:40 AM - At precisely 7:40 AM a visual and radio roll call will begin on all three days of fishing.
8:00 AM - Each day of fishing will begin with a Shotgun start. Teams may not leave the established start line prior to the 8:00 AM start time. Stop-fishing is at 5:00 PM on all three tournament fishing days. All boats must be back inside their harbor and checked-in by Tournament Control by 9:00 PM each day.
Marina/Harbor is defined by IGT as, when a boat has cleared the marina/harbor navigational lights. Violation of this rule will result in the team's disqualification for that day of fishing. The Official Tournament Scales, located on the Island at Puerto Los Cabos Marina, will open at 10:00 AM and close each day at 9:00 PM. The weigh station will remain open for as long as needed so long as the team(s) makes the 9:00 PM deadline. The Awards Banquet will be held on Wednesday evening.
